The Chevy Equinox comes equipped with Blind Spot Monitoring as a standard feature on the Equinox Premier. It is not offered on either the L or LS trims, but is available as an option on the LT. Blind Spot Monitoring is considered part of a suite of safety features that include "lane keep assist"; "adaptive cruise control", "rear cross traffic alert", "forward collision alert" and "lane departure warning". The Equinox monitors potential hazards and other vehicles outside the driver's line of vision with hidden sensors installed at the rear corners of the vehicle. While driving a yellow warning will flash in the side mirror where an object or fast-approaching vehicle has been detected. The feature may be turned off by visiting the "vehicle personalization" menu in the Chevy's infotainment screen.
