The 2016 GMC Acadia is equipped with a 3.6 L V6 engine that offers 281 to 288 HP and 266 to 270 lb-ft of torque. It carries a payload capacity of 1,609 to 1,755 lbs; 2,000 to 5,200 pounds of towing power and up to 116.1 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. The Acadia can be installed with A-ClasS3 trailer hitch featuring a 2-inch receiver and a tongue weight of 750 pounds. Its curb weight of 4,656 to 4,850 lbs provides stability and the cabin can seat up to 8 persons, depending on trim level selected. Fuel economy registers at 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway, but can be affected by towing.

GMC's 2016 Acadia has the ability to pull 2,000 to 5,200 lbs. The tongue payload is 200 to 520 lbs. This is all possible, while only producing 266 to 270 lb-ft. Of torque.
