Does bmw x1 have park assist?

The BMW X1 comes equipped with Park Assist features. It is considered one of the model's "CoPilot Driver Assistance" systems. The X1's parking assistant is always active, measuring potential parallel parking spots while traveling at speeds of 21 miles per hour or less. It also operates from a maximum distance of 1.5 meters from other parked cars or the curb. When an appropriately sized slot is found, the driver turns on the indicator to enable park assist. The X1 will take over steering while the driver continues to operate the accelerator/brake pedals and the gear shift. Parking progress is monitored through the Control Display and indicates movement and fit with synC-HRonized chimes and/or warning sounds. Park assist is enabled through externally installed sensors that utilize radar signals to determine distances.
