The most common fuel pump problems reported on the 2013 Ford Escape are that the car will intermittently stall, generally after starting. Regardless of giving it gas (pedal to the floor), it stalls. Fuel pump failure is a common complaint from owners. Your vehicles fuel pump works to pull the gas from Your tank to Your engine when Your car is running. The gas in Your tank helps to keep the pump lubricated and cool enough to prevent overheating. A fuel pump that overheats because of frequently low gas tanks will wear out more quickly. This can even result in a fuel pump failure.

The 2013 ford escape fuel pump has been reported to sometimes cause it to misfire. There have also been reports of it losing power while driving.
