The 2014 Ford Focus does not appear to have any vehicle-specific water pump issues; Ford has never issues a recall or a technical service bulletin on the component, but that doesn't mean that You're not susceptible to the same water pump problems that all drivers face. Namely, You may find that Your water pump bearing, pulley, or housing has failed. If this is the case, it's unfortunate since the '14 Focus's water pump is significantly more expensive than similar models. You can expect to pay upwards of $500 for a replacement, with nearly $400 coming from parts costs. If You're suffering a coolant leak from the water pump area, it's best to diagnose as soon as possible; attempting to find a replacement through a junkyard or aftermarket sellers may save You a few dollars, but the swap is made more difficult by a cRamped engine compartment.

The 2014 ford focus can suffer coolant leaks due to bad seals. If this happens, the seal will need the be replaced, but the water pump will be okay. Do not drive your card with a leaking water pump, as this can cause significant damage to the engine.
