The Ford Transit has, in the past, displayed some issues with the heater. The Connect model in particular has often suffered from broken heater blower motors, failing thermostats and non-functional motor resistors. The most common cause for heater issues in the Transit is a broken heater blower motor, given the size, build and applications of the vehicle itself. When this happens, the motor will simply need to be replaced. The Transits thermostat has also been prone to failure, with numerous users reporting seemingly random outages and failures. Its motor blower resistor, which controls the fan speed, has also failed across numerous Transits, causing a number of different heater problems as well.

While your ford transit connect heater may not work for a variety of reasons, the most common three are a broken heater blower engine, a thermostat problem, or a failed heater blower motor resistor.
