Removing the oil pan in a 2008 Ford F-250 with the 6.4L engine is a fairly tricky procedure. You will need to get pry tools as well as ratchets and sockets to remove the bolts that are on the oil pan where it meets the bottom of the engine. The first thing that You will need to do is drain the oil from the pan and then remove the filter from the engine. Once the engine is empty and does not have any oil in it You can remove the pan. Start by removing the bolts from around the edge and then use a pry tool to remove the pan from the engine. Once it is off You will need to use a scraper tool to remove the gasket.
