As the driver of a Land Rover Discovery 2, You may have discovered the alarm can be a bit finicky. There have been a multitude of reports regarding issues with the alarm system on this vehicle. The most common complaint is that the anti-theft system will completely fail, never engaging when it should. This usually requires a reset of the system for it to correct itself. To do this, use the key to lock, then unlock Your vehicle. Next, insert the key into the ignition, and wait for a period of 60 to 75 seconds. Then, start the engine. The alarm system should now be reset.
