The hybrid battery is under warranty for 150,000 miles. If it fails before that mileage milestone is reached then Toyota will replace it for free. Otherwise getting a replacement of thiS-TYPE will cost You about 110 to 140 dollars from moSTStores. To put a new battery in You will first need to remove the old battery. To do this first remove the negative and positive cables. This will allow You to get to the bolts that hold the battery in place. Remove those as well and then You will be able to pull it up. The battery is quite heavy, so make sure You pull straight up and then move it out. Now put the new one down and bolt it back in, then connect the battery cables and You will be done.

Its 96 months (8 years) or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first unless your vehicle is equipped with California Certified Emission Control System, then in certain states your warranty is 10 years or 150,000 miles.
