What kind of oil does the 2012 Ford Escape take?

Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 is the preferred motor oil for the 2012 Ford Escape. An equivalent oil can be used as long as it meets Fords WSS-M2C945-A specifications and has the same viscosity rating.
