The owners manual for the 2007 Honda Pilot says that You should always be using Honda ATF-Z1 fluid. If You don't have any of that available it's acceptable to go with DEXRON IIiATF but only temporarily. It can begin to affect the shifting quality of Your vehicle if You use it for an extended period of time. If You want to check on Your fluid levels You should first run Your vehicle for about a minute to warm it up. Find the transmission fluid dipstick with the yellow handle and pull it out and wipe it off, reinsert it and remove again. If it's between the upper and lower mark You are find but if it's below the lower mark You should add some more. -
