The 2008 Ford F-250 4x4 module can be found on the font right corner of the engine compartment. This is the electronic control system that will allow Your truck to go into four wheel drive and helps control the transfer case and hubs. On older vehicles all of the functions of four wheel drive were done manually. You used to have to get out and lock the hubs on the car and move a lever to engage the transfer case. On newer trucks this is all done electronically and that is what the control module does. If You are having problems with Your four wheel drive then the first thing that You should check is the control module.
