When Your 2013 Ford Escape says that there is no key detected it means that the receiver in the vehicle has not found the transponder that is in Your key fob. This can happen for a few different reasons. The most common reason that this happens is that the key was left somewhere else and is not in the vehicle. The next most common reason You will get this error message is when the battery is dead in Your key fob. Your fob has a small battery in it that allows the key to communicate with the computer in Your SUV. When this battery dies it will not work. The last issue could be that You have a failed receiver in Your car and that will need to be replaced.

If no key is detected in the 2013 ford escape means your battery might be dead in your key fob.
