There are a few different causes as to why the backup camera in a 2013 Fusion isnt working. It may be down the APIM module, the fuse, the camera itself or the cars digital interface. First, try doing a master reset and check again. The owners manual should have a detailed walk-through of the process. If that doesnt solve it, check the fuse which is housed in the junction box towards the backside of the car. If the fuse appears fine, its almost certain that either the cars camera is damaged, or the digital module isnt communicating and transmitting to the camera properly. At this junction, its best to take the car to the dealership to get it sorted.

Owners of the 2013 ford fusion may complain of backup camera malfunction, including a sudden loss of picture. Check your wiring and attempt of reset of the vehicle's software to correct the issue.
