Recalls placed by Ford Motor Company covers 2018 to 2019 Ford Explorers, 2018-2020 F-150, 2019-2020 F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, 2019-2020 Expedition, and 2020 Escape vehicles. The driver and passenger front manual front seat reclining mechanisms failed due to a missing third pawl. It causes the seats to fall back unexpectedly.

If this mechanism fails and does not get fixed, it can cause severe injury or death in a crash. The seat will fall backward, causing the proper restraint of the person in the seat to fail.
