In April 2019, Dodge issued a recall on certain 2013-2016 Dodge Dart models that had been equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission. A shifter cable bushing may fail and cause the shifter cable to detach from the transmission.
If this happens, the driver may not be able to shift gears while driving. This issue also creates the risk of a rollaway as the vehicle may not be in “Park” even if the “Park” gear is selected.
To repair this issue, Dodge has offered to replace the shifter cable bushing free of charge on all affected models.
Transmission Control Module Failure

In August 2015, Dodge issued a recall for certain 2013-2015 Dodge Dart models that had been manufactured from February 24, 2012 to June 16, 2015. The transmission control module may fail and cause the transmission to unexpectedly shift into “Neutral” while the vehicle is in operation.
To repair this issue, Dodge has offered to replace the transmission control module free of charge on all affected models.
Engine May Stall in Cold Temperatures

In June 2013, Dodge issued a recall on certain 2013 Dodge Dart models that were manufactured from March 1, 2012 through February 28, 2013 and equipped with a 1.4L MultiAir turbo engine and dual dry clutch transmission.
An issue the powertrain control module programming may cause the engine to stall in temperatures that are below 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
To repair this issue, Dodge has offered to reprogram the powertrain control module free of charge on all affected models.
