The 2013 Ford Fiesta has a 1.6 L 4Cylinder engine that needS5W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil in all temperatures. The capacity for the vehicle iS4.2 quarts with a filter and the torque for the drain plug is 21 ft/lbs. It is better to use synthetic rather than conventional because it is man made and contains fewer contaminants. For the Fiesta the oil should be changed every 10,000 miles or sooner if driven in more extreme conditions. The cost of an oil change is anywhere from $20 to $30 in labor costs with extra for parts costs. You can save some money by doing an oil change Yourself in about 5 to 20 minutes. Some of the tools needed are a drain pan, gloves, ratchet, socket and socket extensions.

I just did our own oil change and I went back with the extended filter and synthetic oil to help with the engine life and I've use different weights of oil but all my vehicles have synthetic oil in them now and I'll never change back. I've been in mechanics all my lifeincluding my military career also and it can't be beaten with anything that I know of.
