The 2015 Ford Explorer has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. The tongue weight is up to 500 pounds that You can put on the hitch on Your SUV. The Explorer also has 255 pound feet to 350 pound feet of torque depending on the engine option that You have. The 2015 Explorer's towing capacity is good for towing things like small travel trailers or boats. You would not want to tow things that are more heavy because it would wear down on Your transmission and suspension. Usually You want to also make sure that You have a transmission cooler installed to keep Your gears from overheating while pulling.

I have a 2015 flex fuel Ford Explorer. I have after market hitch and break. I tow a 2400 fiberglass with a sway bar. My towing is marginal. I thought it would be better. I would appreciate any information. 2,000 to 5,000 pounds has not helped me
