The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has a capacity of 7.4 quarts, when the filter is installed, and can accommodate a myriad of oil types. By default, it'll likely have 5W-40 when You purchase it, but depending on the temperature of Your locale, You'll want to tailor it to suit Your needs. If it gets really cold, below freezing a lot, go with 0W-30 to 0W-40. If it stays above negative 13, You'll stick with the default 5W-30, or go with 5W-40 or 5W-50 for increased performance. Likewise, if it rarely gets below freeing, You can go up as high as a 20W-50, or anything in between. The thinner viscosity You can tolerate, the better lubrication it's going to provide.

A 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class holds 7 quarts of oil when adding a new filter. Mercedes suggests a fully synthetic SAE 5W-40 engine oil.
