The 2017 Toyota Corolla is able to hold 4.4 quarts of SAE 0W-20 oil with the 1.8 liter 4Cylinder motor. Toyota recommends using synthetic oil when You do need to change it to give better protection to Your motor. There are two main types of oil that You can get, synthetic or conventional. Synthetic has been engineered to provide better protection than conventional, and is a newer technology made for newer motors. Synthetic also breaks down slower than conventional meaning less oil changes. On average it needs to be changed every 7,500 miles compared to every 3,500 to 5,000 miles for conventional. I recommend checking Your oil at least once a month to make sure that it is full and free from debris.

The best oil for your 2017 Toyota Corolla is a full synthetic, SAE 0W-20. The Corolla's 4 cylinder engine has the capacity to hold 4.4 quarts of oil with a fresh filter.
