The 2018 Ford Fusion oil type and capacity iS5w-20 and 4.2 quarts. Having high quality oil is important for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. Bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. A common problem is an awful burning smell. This needs to be inspected as soon as possible or the car might explode. Knocking noise may arise from the engine. You could experience poor gas mileage. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine.
The previous answer is INCORRECT for the 2.0 I4 engine. The owners manual calls for 4.5 qts (4.3 L) 0W-20 Synthetic Blend. Full Synthetic oil is OK. Caution: DO NOT OVERFILL. Too much oil can cause severe engine damage.

The oil type for the 2018 Ford Fusion is a full synthetic motor oil. The 1.5L 4 -cylinder prefers SAE 5W-20and can hold 4.2 quarts. Both the 2.0L 4 -cylinder and the 2.5L 4 -cylinder engines both SAE 5W-30 and have capacity for 5.7 quarts. The 2.7L V6 engine uses SAE 5W-30 and can hold 6 quarts.

Lynn is incorrect according to my manual, only the 1.5L uses 4.3q or 4.1L of oil. My manual is for 2015. Make sure the year is specified when you find an answer or the answer could be wrong for you when it's correct for other people.

0W-20 is a man-made oil (full synthetic) and does not come as a synthetic "blend".
