The 2011 GMC Terrain should come with bluetooth ready and enabled. To pair Your device with GMC's Intellink, press the Push To Talk button on the infotainment screen and say "bluetooth". The system's gonna talk back to You and say that it's ready. When it also beeps, go ahead and say "Pair". At this point, You'll be prompted to start a search on Your mobile, at which point You should set Your phone to search for possible bluetooth connections. If You had the phone paired before and it's not working, You can try deleting it and following the procedure above to get it recognized again. However, be advised, some drivers have reported bringing their Terrain to address the computer update recall, and afterwards only gets a "NOT AVAILABLE" when trying to use the bluetooth. To be safe, make sure it's working before You leave the dealership if You opt to get that update.

Yes, the 2011 GMC Terrain can be available with Bluetooth. It comes standard on the SLE-2, SLT-1 and SLT-2. It's not available on the base SLE-1 trim.
Then why is there a phone button on the sle if not available

My 2011 Terrain SLE 1 has Bluetooth. The control buttons are almost hidden. On the right hand side below the steering wheel there’s 3 buttons on the lower dash ( where the dash curves then meets up with the steering column ) it’s a tricky setup but just Google Bluetooth button on a 2011 GMC Terrain. You won’t find it in the owner manuals. If you have these buttons, the easiest thing to do is take it to the dealership and have them show you the setup. Not all SLE 1’s have this. My Terrain came with a bunch of SLE 2 options because it was a dealership demo vehicle.

The phone is for use with Onstar. If you subscribe to Onstar and choose the phone plan option Onstar will give your vehicle a phone number with as many minutes you choose. If someone calls your number, you hit the phone button to answer, or you can simply say answer phone and your Onstar will acknowledge your reply. When you’re finished talking you simply say end call and Onstar will end the call.
