The 2013 Ford Taurus does have a fuel filter. Car parts will eventually become ineffective. The fuel filter needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles. If it doesn't, You will come across issues with the performance. Having the fuel burn greatly is the key to maximizing Your miles per gallon. Your gas tank needs to be in top shape. You will come into issues at some point. A bad control valve might arise. The gas tank could become loose. There could be gas leaks, which need to be looked into pronto. The gas cap can become stuck and will be quite a hassle to deal with.

The preceding answer is interesting. The 2013 Taurus owners manual explicitly states on page 302 that the fuel filter is integrated with the tank and is not a maintenance item. That is the same answer I have seen copied and pasted elsewhere, to include the poor grammar and inclusion of the elusive "v-4".......

The type of engine determines the location of the fuel filter in the 2013 Ford Taurus. In a Taurus with a V-6 engine, the filter is underneath the car, in front of the passenger side rear wheel. In a Taurus with a V-4 engine, the filter is on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
