Yes, remote start is avaible for the 2108 Kia Optima, but only as an option. It doesn't come factory direct on any of the Optima trims. Good news, the install is affordable and the payoff, especially in the winter, is a warm interior and a warmed up engine. The remote start option for the 2018 Kia Optima is triggered from a special key fob. The simple device has one button that controls the door locks and the remote start option. To start the car remotely, push and hold until the lock button is displayed, then press and hold for a couple of seconds and the car will start. Make sure you have you fob when you get in the car - press down on the brake pedal and push the start button as you enter.
