When the alarm system is not working properly in Your Chevy Impala then the first thing You should try to do is reset it. Resetting the security system is pretty easy to do and should only take about ten minutes to do. To reset the alarm all You will need to do is put the key in the ignition of Your car and then let it sit there until the security light on the dash is flashing instead of being on solidly. When that happens You can go ahead and try to crank over the engine and see if it will start. If You have repeated problems with Your security system I recommend letting Chevrolet take a look at it because it could be a body control module problem.

It is a push button start vehicle. It has no ignition key to put in. This doesn't relate to a 2019 impala

To reset the security on your chevy impala attempt to start the car. If it does not start, or dies very quickly after it started, then leave the key in the ignition in the "on" position and wait 10 minutes. Make sure the security light is flashing. After 10 minutes the security light will stop flashing and either turn off or stay on steadily.

Put the key in the On position. Wait ten minutes until the security light on the dash stops flashing. Turn the key to the off or middle position for ten seconds . Start the car!
i just diconnected the battery negative cable for 10 minutes and the system reset and i drove home
