As the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, You may find Yourself needing to reset Your anti-theft system. This is fairly simple to do, and will only take about 5 to 10 minutes. The firSTStep is to make sure that all four doors on Your vehicle are fully closed. Next, lock all of the doors. Unlock Your door on the driver's side, and get inside. Now, You should put the keep in the ignition, and turn it to the "on" or "run" position. Be careful not to start the engine when You do this. Return the ignition to the off position, then alternate the pattern of on and off two more times. You should now be able to start Your engine, and see that the anti-theft system is reset and fully engaged.

To reset the security alarm on the 2010 Chevy equinox you need to lock all the doors, then unlock the driver side and put the key into the on position. Now turn it off and then back on twice and it will reset. If the immobilizer is messed up then the alarm will not work.
