It is not too hard to reset the tire pressure monitoring system in the 2018 Toyota 4Runner. To do so first You need to make sure that the pressure in the tires are at the correct level. The recommended pressure iS32 psi in both the front and the rear tires. Turn the engine on and then find the reset button which is located to the right and bottom of the steering wheel on the instrument panel. Press and hold the reset button once You have found it. Keep holding it until the TPMS indicator light slowly blinkS3 times. Wait for several minutes for it to check the pressure and then turn it off and back on again to make sure it worked.

Toyota 4Runner 2018 particular does not have bulit-in means to reset TPMS. System SW should do it automatically. Unfortunately, it does not. After TPMS replacement I had the following problem. In the morning I leave garage with no errors on display; after some time power pressure fault starts blinking (means system error, not pressure fault) and then becomes solid. It required an expert at Toyota Dealership to explicitly program new TPMS IDs into car computer using back door. This fixed the problem.

To reset the tpms on the 2018 toyota 4runner make sure the tire pressure is correct, then turn on the vehicle. Now hit the reset button that is to the right of the steering wheel and wait ten minutes. In some cases you may need to hold the button down till the light flashes. If the sensor is not working correctly then you may have tires with incorrect pressure, and the car can get bad performance.
