To reset Your 2014 Chevy Impala theft-deterrent system, use Your keyleSSRemote to unlock the doors by pressing the "Unlock" button. This button looks like an opened lock. Exit the car and leave the door open. Press the lock switch from inside the car to lock the doors. Be sure all other doors, trunk, hood, and lift gate are also closed. If anything else is open, the alarm will not be reset. Close the door and wait for the security light to stop flashing from inside the car. Another option is to close the doors first, and then press the "Lock" button on the keyleSSRemote. This will also pre-arm the theft-deterrent alarm system. If You do not open the doors or press the unlock button on the keyleSSRemote for 10 seconds, the theft-system will go into the armed stage.

My theftSystem randomly came on, and weirdly I can’t use my key fob to unlock the vehicle I managed to get in manually unlocking it. The key fob works because the lights flash when I attempt to use it on the car. But my door unlock buttons don’t work either and the car starts sometimes and doesn’t let me shift into gear.

Gm keyless remote needs to be unlocked at the doors by pressing the "unlock" button. Get out of the car and leave the door open. Push the lock switch from inside the car to lock the doors and shut the door and wait for the security light to stop flashing from inside the car.

I believe you have to reset the whole computer and not just turn the key to the on position and wait 10 minutes I believe you also have to change the computer linked to the engine. This can be done by disconnecting the battery post and waiting 10 minutes then turning the key to the on position for 10 minutes then turn it off then turn it back on and crank the car up . Also there is a sensor that you have to change whenever the lights on your dash go haywire. Normally when one part of the engine or vehicle goes out then they all start going out in order . I recommend ever couple of months you do a oil change also change the spark plugs and wires and reset the security light and computer and the reason why they are not trying to recall this vehicles is because it hasn't caused any accidents or put them in a position where loss of life occurred and lawsuits were fought against them if civilians like us catch problems like that on many manufacturers in the same year model they pay little attention but when you have big time lawyers falling lawsuits against you because of faulty parts due to manufacturing manufacture then you have a whole different situation situation and you start seeing Mass recalls. Just because someone complains to them or even hundreds of thousands of people complained to them nothing will be done about it because we have no power of authority over them so they treat the little guys like we are their personal ATMs I believe if you want to get that big oil companies with these big car companies then we need to boycott them.. If the human race all started pulling together for the right things then the world would be a whole lot better place but we let the powers that be who control what we learn and what we see on TV control us and tell us what's right and what's wrong and makes us turn against each other instead of working together but all these things are coming to a head just continue looking up and I'm not talking about some invisible spiritual type things these things are real and the one true creator will be arriving shortly to judge those with wicked hearts . Start using your heads people and understand that we are being lied to every day for thousands of years and things are done right in our face and we still act like we are left in the dark so stop complaining and start taking action have a nice day.

I tried everything above, nothing worked. Did anyone notice and problems prior to the vehicle shutting down? For the last 3 weeks or so every now and then it took a few seconds for my car to start. It reminding of the key start where it took time for the engine to "turnover" and start. Once it started, I would immediately cut it off and use the push start several times and it started without hesitation. I also thought my key fob battery was running low. I had to punched it several times before it locks were unlocked. I changed the battery, and the fob was back to normal. Then a few days later the problem would start over. I think it the anti-lock system need servicing. I didn't get it towed to the nearest dealer because my sunroof is open, and rain is in the forecast and didn't want to chance the interior getting wet. Thank God my car is under my carport. I'll have my personal mechanic look at it Monday. In the meantime I might have to call in Sick and if I can't get a ride to work. Not doing Uber!
