Resetting the theft system for a Cadillac CTS is not an easy process and You will need a fuse diagram in order to do so. First You'll need to turn off the car and open the trunk. Access Your fuse boxAnd remove the theft fuse. Now give the vehicle power for a few moments before killing the power again. Go back to Your fuse boxAnd put the fuse back in the spot where it was. Now You should be able to turn Your vehicle back on and use it as normal. If this method doesn't work You're going to need access to a scanner tool to fix it.

To reset the Cadillac CTS theft deterrent system you will start by turning the car on without starting the ignition. Open the hood and remove the fuse in the engine bay fuse panel that is labeled "ECM". Take it out for 10 minutes and plug it back in.

The guy that says turn your key on open your trunk and access your fuse panel needs to go back to sleep knows absolutely nothing about the car! So do yourself a favor and read more information from more people and not his! Make sure you're getting the right information before you do anything because you can send your computer into a spiral that is going to give all sorts of Limp modes that will keep it in anti-theft mode! So again I recommend you watch what you read and know what you're doing because if you do it wrong you could end up at the dealership with a big Bill! And I am not a service mechanic I am not a dealership mechanic so I have no reason to tell you that without it being true.
