To reset the transmission control module for the Chevy Silverado, watch: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=yu6WDIWBf3g The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache. The transmission is one of the most crucial parts of the vehicle. You will come into issues at some point. Hard shifts could come up and that is not good. You may experience shudders. The gears may become stuck. There might be jerking. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be fixed quickly. Delayed shifts will cause acceleration issues. The transmission might slip.
I have 1993 Silverado k1500 4l60e I bought trans about a year ago it was a manufactured Trans it quit shifting properly the day my air conditioner compressor went out now it won't shift out of 2nd gear I figured it might have been shift solenoids but changed them and still no change In the shifting is there anything you can recommend

Remove the nut from the negative battery, then turn the headlight switch to the "on" position to drain the ecm of any remaining power. Wait 10 minutes then turn it back to off.

The tcm is inside the pan. You need to pull the exhaust down 1/2-3/4 of an incj to get clearance to get the pan out.
