If You do not have the keys to Your Chevy Cobalt then there unfortunately is no good way to start the vehicle. The system uses a transponder to allow the ignition system to work and without that transponder present in the car the ignition circuitry will not work. The only way to effectively start the car without a key involves breaking the ignition system and that will permanently damage the car and make it not secure anymore. If You have lost Your keys the best thing You can do is contact a locksmith because they can make You new keys. If You have proof of ownership You can also contact a Chevy dealer and have them get You a new key.

There is no way to start a chevy cobalt without keys unless you break the starter system.

When giving advice please know whatur talkin about a 2005 cobalt does not have attansponder key
What Do you do when the Chevy dealer only goes back 10 years ..a hmmmd they won't give you a key
