The 2019 Chevrolet EquinoxAuto stop feature in Your car enables You to hit the brake pedal at a red light, and then simply lift Your foot off after the light turns green to propel Your car forward, vs having to manually push down on the gas pedal to move the car forward. To turn off this feature, You first need to turn the car on, and then shift the car into the manual mode. When there, You should see the L light up. Once there, hit the plus button on the shifter knob until You see L6 on the dashboard, which will be next to the mileage counter. You have now successfully bypassed the auto stop feature in Your car.

Chevrolet decided not to make a switch or button for those who want to disable the auto stop/start feature on their equinox. However, there is a workaround that will work to shut it off. Follow these steps: start the equinox and shift the gear to ślś. This puts the transmission into śmanual modeś. Use the + and buttons on the top of the gear shift to change the range of gears up to ś9ť as you drive. This number should show on the display located on the instrument panel.

How do i turn off auto stop chevy equinox? 1. Go to the front (hood) of your car 2. Open the hood and where you move the lever to open the hood, locate a connector (sensor) that is on the back or below that lever to open the hood 3. Disconnect that connector. That connector is a switch that makes the car turn off and on when braking to save gas, but it is very annoying, just disconnect it and that's it, it will never turn off again. I did it on my Chevrolet Equinox 2018

Just do the connector disconnect thing, it’s right behind the lever to lift the hood in plain sight. Push the little red tab up and lift the black tab at the bottom of the red one and it will slide easily out. The shifter solution does not work.

Disable the on and off start on a Diesel 2018 Chevi equinox. I have tried the standard remedy. It doesn’t work. I try it everyday hoping it will sooner or later work.

Amazon has a wire you can install to disable it. It’s $20. Search Chevy auto stop disable.
Alll other vehicles including all other years And modules of the equinox.
