The Chevy Tahoe has a life expectancy for up to 200,000 to 300,000 but there are a lot of variables in play. The most important factor is always giving Your SUV proper care and keeping up with the routinely scheduled maintenance intervals. One of the most critical pieces of the longevity of a vehicle is changing the fluids on time. That includes oil, transmission, coolant, and power steering. To maintain the total annual cost for repairs for the Chevy Tahoe will range from $700 - $800 a year. Their reliability rating by J.D power has been 4.5 out of 5 stars which is top-notch for the SUV class it is in and at the top of the list.

I have a 2004 Tahoe z71 w 212000 and got it w 157000 have other car but the Tahoe is always the one used. I don’t see how the comments of it only going to be good for 200k came to be when the LS line on engine was the designed to have a life expectancy of 500k with normal use and care. Having had a few and friends have some also yes anything is possible but from what I’ve seen nothing comes close to it . If u don’t Do hole shots cold out of the driveway every morning have common sense w your oil change and leave it alone( Modify ) it will last for ever . They only thing I found is they have a weak fuel pump that I recommend not to neglect your fuel filters and b nice to the transmission because they will fail if abused specially in hot climate. I also think that having it run cool 160-180 degrees only help the life of motor and transmission. To be honest it’s one best used cars you can buy especially if you know how it’s been cared for. If u want something to just get cheap gas and never service it it will still do right bye you but don’t expect the 500k plus mile just get something with warranty.

I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 with 257,000 miles on it. I bought it new in 2004. I love it and don't want to get rid of it! Instrument panel has started to act up and I'm trying to decide if I should spend the money to fix it. It's been in a cold weather climate and has never let me down. Regular maintenance and repair, no other major expense. Hoping to get to 300k on it.

A chevy tahoe will last about 200,000 miles as long as you bring it in for regular maintenance and dont drive it harshly.

I am looking to purchase a 2014 that has 210k miles on it for $9,800. I hope I don't make a mistake because I can't afford car trouble right. I currently have a 2017 Honda pilot and it not paid off. I'm looking to downgrade so I wont have any debt.

Depends on the price, had bought a 06 with 168xxx and ran it another 80k before it started having problems. Nothing big just small things consistently. Got a 08 ltz with 100k for 10k shortly after and been all good. Great trucks.

I have a 2007 Chevy Tahoe with 205,000. It runs as smooth as when I purchased it. My aunt has the same year and hers has about 230,000 miles on it and runs just as good as the day she bought it. I highly recommend this SUV for reliability and dependability. It’s the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. They can easily last 400,000 miles plus with maintenance and care.

I have a 99 tahoe that I love it's four door 5.7 v8 4x4 I got it from my mom and sister. It has 278,000 miles on it. I changed it from fuel injection to carb. It now has a Holly 660 four barrel. It runs alot better. I unplug the computer in it. It is now timed to a 1980 chevy with a 350 engine. But yall remember it's a 99 chevy tahoe 5.7. But you half to time it this way are it want run. Everything still works like it is supposed to. But a 5 3 v8 want walk off from it. It's a lot of fun. It get better gas mileage now then it did before.

I bought an '03 Tahoe LT w/Autoride, 4x4, basically all the bells and whistles available at the time. Had 69k on it when I bought it, now at 82k and I've had to replace the transfer case for the 4x4, intake manifold gaskets, all 4 shocks, and the air compressor for the air bags. Now the transmission is starting to slip in 2nd gear, but I've been told a shift kit will fix that and isn't very expensive. Overall I have roughly 4 grand into it after buying and it's been worth every penny. Hands down the best vehicle I've ever owned.

We have an 03 Tahoe 4x2 with 280K. Family hauler that has pulled boats and small campers. Only repairs have been intermediate steering shaft, water pump, shocks and brake pads. Other than that, it's just been regular oil changes, grease jobs, filter and fluid changes. Great vehicle.

I agree with 200k being a low ball figure. I have a 2005 Tahoe Z71. It already has 225k miles on it and run as good as the day I bought it. It has been off roads on a regular basis and has towed within its limits many times. It has been dealer maintained and on occasion may have needed a part replaced to avoid break downs ( water pump, radiator hoses, belts and window Crank mechanisms. I have owned it since new and will likely never get rid of it.
