With proper care and maintenance, a Hyundai Veloster can last up to 200,000 miles. You might be wondering what proper care and maintenance mean. Well, I can explain. For one, proper care and maintenance can mean going Your car its regular tune ups. A tune up includes replacing the spark plugs and their wires, distributor cap, checking the fuel filter and fuel pump, and even the PCV valve. Another way is to replace the oils in Your vehicle as specified in Your owner's manual. It's very important to keep up with the oils since they play a big part in the operation of Your vehicle. Lastly, make sure You don't run too low on gas for long periods of time since that can damage Your fuel pump.

I have a 2012 Hyundai Veloster that bought new and have nearly 260,000 miles. I've had to do maintenance mostly but that includes some big ticket items like catalytic converter, and timing chain. I got a lot of life out of it. It's really only been the last year or so that it seems to have more problems but it's to be expected with its age and mileage.

I have a 2013 veloster turbo with 161k miles on it and I have had to replace my turbo, but that is the only major ticket item I have had to replace. I am however having issues with my a/c control unit and the dash screen. I may have to replace my catalytic converter soon. I smell burnt rubber sometimes. And the tires are very expensive.

I have a 2013 Veloster I purchased new September 2012. It has 198K miles (as of this morning) and other than regular oil changes and replacing worn tires, I haven't had to do anything else and it still runs great. My Veloster is 6 speed manual and non-turbo.
