The 2018 Nissan Sentra takeS3.17 quarts (3 liters) of SAE 5W-30 engine oil. This is a synthetic fluid designed to provide optimal protection in a wide variety of climates, making it a very popular choice. Nissan recommends changing this oil every 6 months or 7,500 miles, whichever comes first. However, Your service interval may vary based on driving habits and local environment. If You plan on changing the oil Yourself, a few popular options include Amsoil Signature Series, Mobil 1, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, Royal Purple High Performance, and Castrol Edge. Always make sure the engine has been off for at least 5 minutes before checking this fluid. The average cost to change the oil in a 2018 Sentra is $90 to $120 with labor making up about $30 to $40 of that total.

The 2018 Nissan Altima can come with a 1.6 liter or 1.8 liter engine, depending on which trim is chosen. Those with a larger 1.8 liter engine, the S, the SL, the SR and the SV, hold less oil at 4.2 quarts. Using slightly more oil at 4.6 quarts, are the 1.6 liter Nismo and the 1.6 liter SR Turbo Altima.

It takes 0W-20 synthetic (which is recommended) or 5W-30. Says right under the hood and, I just asked my dealership. Showed me in their book where it says what oil type. 0W-20 or 5W-30. To say it takes 0W-30 is a false statement unless your model is special. Don't use 0W-30 unless you want to find out what happens when you use the wrong oil :)
