Resetting the maintenance light in a Toyota Prius is a simple process that takes just a few minutes to do. Begin with the vehicle parked and all doors closed. Turn the key in the ignition to ON, but don't start the engine. You'll need to push the start/stop button twice without putting Your foot on the brake, if You have a push button ignition button. Use the arrow navigation buttons in the left cluster of steering wheel controls to get to the settings menu. Scroll through until You get to the vehicle settings menu and then select OK. Choose MAINTENANCE SYSTEM and click OK. From that menu, look for OIL MAINTENANCE and press OK again. Select YES when You see a confirmation message and then press OK. Turn the ignition off and then start the vehicle to make sure the reset has been saved.

For a 2014 Prius, start the car, switch the trip odometer to 'trip A", push and hold the MPH/KMH button, turn off the car (while holding said button), turn it on again (while still holding said button) and watch the reset happen.

To reset the "maintenance required" light on a toyota prius, press the power button twice, using the odo button below the multi-function display, press to cycle through and stop on the odo reading, press the power button once to power your prius down, press and hold down the odo button and press the power button twice (2x) with your foot off the brake. Continue to hold the odo button down, wait for the flashing dashes to disappear and your odo reading to reappear.

On prius v III hybrid you have to hold the km/mi and the hour button while turning the car off then back on. Don't need your foot off the brake.
