Not so easy Gary, Ellis go it right, just have to reverse the process after installing the battery, e.q. Re install the filter housing, filter, etc.

To change the battery on the 2014 ford escape, remove the brackets. Disconnect the cables and clean them. Take the old battery out and replace with a new one. Attach the battery cables. Put the brackets back in place.

Start by removing the air cleaner assembly, then remove the red retainers, undo the clips on the air assembly and remove the top. The battery will now be in sight, and can easily be replaced by removing the old battery and placing the new one there.
