If Your seat belt retractor is stuck in Your Toyota Camry that is usually a sign that there is a jam somewhere in the retractor system. The first thing to do is tug firmly on the seatbelt and see if You can remove it from the mechanism. This is part of the safety system which will lock the seatbelts in place in the event of an accident. If that does not clear them then the next thing to do is remove the plastic piece that is over the retractor and see if You can see the seatbelt folded or tangled inside. If You can see that then You will need to try to pry it back to being flat using a screwdriver. If the damage is further down in the spring mechanism I recommend letting Toyota take a look at it.

You must start by pulling on the seatbelt to try and free it from its auto-lock feature to repair a stuck seatbelt retractor on a toyota camry. Pry off the plastic covers that have a screwdriver or needle nose pliers holding the seatbelt mechanism. Take the seatbelt out entirely. Untangle the seatbelt, if any jams are in it. Enable the seatbelt to re-rollinto place.
