The AudiQ5's sporty appeal and smooth design is replicated in its internal hood release. Like most vehicles, the Q5's bonnet must be released before accessing the safety catch that locks it to the frame. Sitting in the driver's seat locate a rectangular lever that is recessed in the left-hand side of the footwell panel. It will be facing outward at the edge of the panel. Pull up the lever to release the latch. Alternatively, the lever can be accessed by opening the driver's door and bending or reaching down. Move toward the front of the vehicle and place one or two hands under the center of the now-released hood. A flat latch assembly is bolted here that can be depressed. Depress the latch and hold while raising the hood. It's now open. Secure with the Audi's engine bay strut.

To open the Audi Q5 hood locate on the left hand side, below the steering wheel beside where the door opens up... There is a lever, pull that. Then go out and press the latch under the hood to release it and get the hood fully open.

To clarify, after releasing the latch inside the car next to your left calf, slide your hand palm down under the center of the hood. The release latch is below your hand. It’s a paddle that you push sideways, fully releasing the hood.
