If You want to open the hood on an AudiA4 it is a pretty simple process. All You will need to do is grab the handle that is located in the driver's footwell to release the first latch. Once that has been released You can head around to the front of the car and feel under the hood. There will be another lever in the middle of it and that will allow You to lift the hood. Once You get the hood up it should stay up automatically with the struts that are on it. If Your hood struts are failing You can use something like vise grips to hold them open and prevent it from closing.

To open the hood in a Audi A4 you will pull the lever which is located on the drivers side down by the footwell on the left side. After the lever is released pull the lever again and the hood will be slightly open. You can then reach into the hood and pull the small hitch open get the hood to fully open.
