How to remove toyota tacoma tailgate?

The Toyota Tacoma tailgate is only held in place by a series of bolts on the underside. You will need to be able to get up under the truck, but once You do it is easy. Using a light find the bolts to the tailgate. Remove them, but make sure You have something supporting the gate, or it may fall. Now slide out from under the truck, and lift up on the tailgate. It should slide out of the slot it's in and come free.
