To set the cruise control on a Nissan Altima push the on off switch and the cruise indicator light will illuminate. The cruise control enables You to set a desired speed between 25 and 89 mph and remain there until You wish to slow down accelerate or stop. Accelerate until You reach the desired speed then push down on the set/minus switch and release it. The car will operate at the selected speed, if You need to pass another vehicle, press the accelerator pedal once You have safely passed, release the accelerator and Your vehicle will return to the previously set speed. To turn the cruise control off completely, push the on/off switch, the cruise indicator light will turn off.

Get the Nissan Altima to the speed you want it at, then hold the cruise control button on the left side of the wheel. This will set the cruise control.
