To turn off the ack up camera in a Honda Civic You can follow these directions here - 1. From the Home screen, select Settings. 2. Select Camera. 3. Select Rear Camera. 4. Select an option: Fixed Guidelines: Guidelines appear when You shift into Reverse. Dynamic Guidelines: Guidelines move as You turn the steering wheel. 5. Select On or Off. 6. Press BACK to exit the menu. Often times You may want Your backup camera on but it can be distracting to You and cause more issues when backing up. It will make You reliant on the use of a back up camera and if it every goes out or has any issues it may be harder to get use to it. Also some places require You to have it off during a driving test.

To disable the backup camera for the honda civic you need to go in to the setting on your navigation system. There will be a camera options section where you can disable it.
