If the immobilizer has been activated in the Nissan, the car's fuel injection and ignition will be shut down to prevent theft. This is an anti-theft measure that works through the ECU or Engine Control Module, the car's main computer. Getting the vehicle started will require a visit to a licensed repair specialist. They will re-progRam the ECU to disable the immobilizer. This service can usually be performed for $85-$100. If You have tripped the car's alarm by accident, depress the fob's panic or unlock button, to switch the alarm off. Alternatively, insert the key into the driver's door to unlock and reset the immobilizer. You can also try pressing the panic button for 5 seconds followed by depressing the lock button 2 times. Walk ten feet away from the car and wait ten minutes before depressing the unlock feature on the fob twice as well. This may reset the anti-theft warning.

To unlock the 2019 Nissan immobilizer, place the ignition switch into the lock position for about 10 seconds. Then, place it back to on position two times. Start the engine.

To undo Nissan immobilizer on 2004 frontier: 1. Get in drivers side and make sure all doors are closed. 2. Using the automatic door lock on the door, lock the doors. 3. Insert key in ignition and turn to on/acc (do not start) 4. Turn key to off position and remove key completely. 5. Repeat steps 3 & 4 again 6. With the door lock button unlock doors, then lock, then unlock. 7. Open door, get out and close door. 8. Put key in door lock and lock door 9. Pull the key all the way out 10. Insert key again and unlock 11. Pull the key all the way out 12. Repeat steps 8-10 again. 13. Open door and get in 14. Close door 15. Start car.

What about on a 2003 nissan maxima? Engine won't start because immobilizer seems to be activated after removing a fuse underneath the steering wheel. Problem is I don't know which fuse cause the problem. Even the automatic door lock on the door won't work. Help please !

To Michel Venezia, your catalytic converter is plugged. Disconnect the exhaust before the cat and rev the the car to test. It should run like normal without the restriction. Replace cat.

My Nissan Sentra N16 (2003) sudden cannot start ( No crank sound even turning key), almost 1 hour turning key to start but failed. One day after try start again it can start. Drive to workshop checked battery is good, alternator is good and starter also good condition. Just wanna to ask, why? Is it Immobilizer malfunction? How to put away or deactivate this Immobilizer?
