There are a few transmission problems that can come up with the 2007 GMC Envoy. The most common problem that You will encounter are louder than average noises from it. Usually this will happen when the fluid levels are low inside Your transmission and that can cause some extra wear and tear on the gears. Another problem that can happen with the transmission are linkage problems where the vehicle will not go into gear. This can happen when the linkage to the shifter gets damaged. Another problem with the transmission are delayed shifts between gears. Usually these are caused by a transmission control module problem and You will need to use an OBD II scan tool to diagnose it.

If the 2007 gmc envoy is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
