Brake pads are one of the components on Your Toyota Highlander that will need to be replaced from time to time since they are considered to be consumable. The pads will wear down when You brake because they will be ground down against the rotor. Usually the parts will costs $150 to $175, and the labor should cost $70 to $100 depending on local labor rates in Your area. If You want to have better braking performance You can always upgrade to stronger pads. These pads will usually wear down faster and need to be replaced more often, but they can give You better braking performance and help it stop in a shorter distance.

$350 but you can definitely do it yourself, which would cost $50 for the pads and $$ for some tools.

$417 you got ripped,, I almost got ripped from Toyota wanting $1275 to do all 4 wheels with nothing special besides pads and turn the rotors,, I ordered the best pads online at rock auto.com for $128 delivered and found a small shop install the pads for $120,, Rotors looked fine and didn't need to be cut,, Highlander brakes better than new,,
