I has the same msg, the next day another msg came up saying brake problem. I took it to Acura dealership they run the test and said it was a software update issue. The cost was $130 but I had warranty for 8 years. The brake problem msg was the result of the emission problem, it is not a brake issue at all.

Sometimes if you don’t tighten the gas cap until it clicks a few times you’ll get this message. I’d check that first - turn the vehicle off and open up the gas cap, then close it back until it clicks 3 times minimum. Then drive it for a few miles and it should go off.
