The Honda Civic code listed b12 is a maintenance reminder for the driver of the car to let You know that You need to change oil, rotate tires, and replace the air filter/pollen filter. The B- Oil Change and filter, 1 - Tire rotation, 2 - replace air filter.. If You have already done this service recently and You need to remove the code You can do that by following these instructions. First You will turn the car ignition to the 1st position. Hold the reset button until You see the odometer flash, let go and then press and hold reset until it stops flashing. The recommended service intervals are 3500 for oil change, tire rotation every 3500 miles and every 60,000 miles for the air filter and transmission fluid.

The code b12 in a honda civic is a maintenance minder code to let you know it is close to time to have your car serviced, specifically it means oil life is soon to expire and needs changed.

Some of this is accurate. Filter change is recommended at 30k and oil changes are not 3,500 miles. That's old school from back in the 90's. The oil changes are 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first. The car will tell you when to get the oil change, 7,500 from Honda. When you get to 20% oil life that's when you bring it in but it doesn't look at oil level so you want to keep an eye on that. That's why we recommend 6 months or 6,000 miles....
