The Chevy Colorado ignition switch recall was in regards to a failure of the switch to get the starter to work. The starter location on the car is located underneath the intake manifold by the top of the engine. The starter is a small motor that is designed to crank the main motor for the car. This in turn starts the engine and keeps combustion going. If the starter is bad then the car will not start and may have a clicking sound when You hold the key. If You need to get a new starter put into the car then You can expect to spend about 300 to 500 on average, with parts being about 300 and the labor beinG200. If You need to remove it Yourself then You can expect it to take about an hour and a haLFAnd You will need a wrench to do this.
