The center multi-function display may stop working on a Toyota Prius. This is commonly caused by a poorly soldered internal connection on the display circuit board. These display panels can be successfully repaired or reconditioned by a shop specializing in such repairs so it helps to investigate further. It will cost $200- $400 for the parts themselves. Labor is estimated at $100-$200. If You decide to do it Yourself, when You get down to the glaSSRemoval, be careful to preserve the black plastic cushion or insulator pad which is glued between the metal frame & the glass.

Replacing the display screen on the toyota prius will cost $200 or more for the parts themselves. Having the unit installed will cost additional money or you can do it yourself as it is a fairly easy job.

Dealer quoted $1170 plus I’d leave car at dealer for 3 weeks. Part was $560. Just blanked out one time last month so I decided not to repair now. I saw refurbished units on eBay sale $100 after receiving old unit

Do it yourself. I replacedmy 2007 prius for 35 bucks. All I did was replace the screen with some help on youtube. 35 bucks compared with 300 bucks. Crazy difference.
